IEEE Women In Engineering Affinity Group of St Joseph’s College of Engineering along with the IEEE SB of SJCE organised an event -செம்மொழி பழகு which is conducted on behalf of Anti-tobacco day .The event’s tagline is “fight against tobacco addiction,” which calls for group effort and a multifaceted strategy. We significantly advance in reducing tobacco use and enhancing public health by educating people and raising awareness of the tobacco problem. Speakers and participants were engaged with the topic “ போதை தவிர்! நல்ல கல்வி என்னும் பாதை யால் நிமிர்! (அல்லது) போதைப்பொருள் பயன்பாட்டைத் தடுக்கும் நடவடிக்கைகள்”. Contents like we stay together for a smoke-free future where the appeal of tobacco is surpassed by the importance of each person’s health and wellbeing spreaded by the participants which inspired us to see that, when we work together, we can change things supporting a world without tobacco. Honourable judge’s knowledge against tobacco greatly enriched the event and left a lasting impact on all those in attendance.Throughout our elocution and discussions, participants were enthusiastically involved in spreading awareness against tobacco towards this generation. The depth of information they shared, coupled with speakers engaging in an interactive speaking style, made the event not only informative but also enjoyable.The event was moderated by Ms.Jamuna U, Chairperson of IEEE WIE SJCE SBC. The entire event was coordinated by the IEEE WIE SJCE SB Office Bearers Vice Chairperson -Ms.Harini N, Secretary -Ms.Madhu Malini MK, Joint Secretary-Ms.Adirai , Treasurer-Ms.Kaviya P, Committee Member-1 -Ms.Kanimozhi G and Committee Member-2-Ms.Madhumitha S, along with Mr. R. Sreekanth, IEEE SB Counselor.Our Judge Jayashruthi V announced the outstanding participants: Jasmine J won 1st prize and also Arisudan T H and Kayalvizhi V announced as runners of the event.E-Certificates were provided to all the participants.Merit E-Certificates were provided to the winners and runners.
