The first webinar on “Traction Motor Development Status and Trend for EV Applications” under the Webinar series “Erudite Talk – An IEEE International Webinar Series” on 22/05/2020 at 8.30AM (IST) taken by Mr. Dr. Ronghai Qu, China.

The session started with the speaker’s introduction. Dr. Ronghai Qu started with the latest trend in Electrical vehicles (EV) and the existing EV’s in the market. He then explained the importance of a motor which replaces the Engine in conventional vehicles. Later he compared the existing motors used in EV’s and the Traction motor which is a new trend.

, the seventh day of the webinar was made vibrant with an enthralling speaker Dr. Nacer Greffou’s presence. He is the founder and owner of Algeria Smart Grids.

The session was under the heading “Power Quality Real-Time Monitoring of  a PV Plant connected to the Grid ”, the speaker initially said about the missions and standard developments in the smart grids .He then said about the advancements in grid control and the PV charcateristics along with the graphical representation of the power flow from the grids to the domestics. He then specified about the factors affecting the power flow and the advantages and disadvantages of the renewable energy power management. The real-time monitoring of the PV plant was explained precisely using graphs and pictures. The data analysis gave us a neat schematic of the load management by the generated plant power.
