IEEE Power Electronics Society Madras Chapter PEL 35, (CH10352) and IEEE Power Electronics Society SJCE SB (SBC60101C) Organized A Webinar Session titled “ENERGYBOILSHIFT” on September 14, 2024. The topic for the session was “Energy Transition in an Era of Global Boiling,” presented by Mr.Sushil Kumar Sharma, Founder CEO, Sustaineco, Former General Manager (Corporate Sustainable Development),NPTC Limited. Students and staff from the final year, prefinal year, and second year of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as other college students and staff, participated. This report underscores the critical importance of accelerating the global transition to renewable energy in response to the escalating climate crisis, described as the “global boiling,” to mitigate environmental disasters, ensure energy security, and promote sustainable economic growth. Approximately 40+ participants joined this event on Gmeet. The participants were rewarded with e-certificates as a token of appreciation. A memento was presented to the speaker at the conclusion of the session.
