EV ELECTRIFICATION – A WEBINAR SESSION

IEEE Power Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter SJCE SB (SBC60101C) Organized A Webinar Session titled “EV ELECTRIFICATION” on June 16, 2024. The topic for the session was “Role of Power Electronics in EV and it’s Infrastructure,” presented by Mr. Vishnu Sheshadri, Electric Drives R & D, MIT, Manipal, Power Electronics & Drives, Electrical & Electronics Engineer, EV Enthusiast. Students and staff from the final year, pre-final year, and second year of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as other college students and staff, participated. This report investigates various rectification topologies, component selection, and performance evaluation to optimize the design of front-end rectifiers for level 1 chargers, contributing to the advancement of EV charging infrastructure. Approximately 40+ participants joined this event on Gmeet. The participants were rewarded with E-certificates as a token of appreciation. A memento was presented to the speaker at the conclusion of the session.

He is currently volunteering as Chairperson of IEEE SJCE SB மாணவர் மன்றம் in St. Joseph’s College of Engineering Student Branch Chapter. He is also volunteering as a Web Designer in IEEE Madras Section under Section Student Coordination Team 2021. He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer.
