IEEE PES SJCE SB- in association with IEEE St. Joseph’s College of Engineering Student chapter conducted a webinar session “EXPERT EDGE” on 19/04/2024.The topic of session was “PROMPTING AI : WHAT FUTURE HOLDS FOR YOU?” presented  Dr. Vandana Sharma – Assoc. Professor at Christ University, Delhi NCR Campus, India | Honorary Adjunct Professor | Postdoc Fellow | Book Editor .Students from the pre-final year, and second year of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated. During an informative session titled At the Expert Edge titled “PROMPTING AI: WHAT FUTURE HOLDS FOR YOU?” attendees were immersed in a thought-provoking discussion about the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications for the future. Speakers explored the transformative potential of AI across various industries and domains, highlighting its role in reshaping the workforce, economy, and society as a whole. Through engaging presentations and interactive sessions, attendees gained insights into the latest advancements in AI technology, including natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Discussions also delved into the ethical considerations and societal impact of AI adoption, addressing concerns related to privacy, bias, and job displacement. Moreover, the event offered a glimpse into the future possibilities of AI, envisioning a world where intelligent systems collaborate seamlessly with humans to solve complex problems and drive innovation. Participants left the event with a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, along with a sense of urgency to prepare for the AI-driven future. Attendees engaged in a Q&A session, gaining insights into practical implementation and innovation opportunities. Overall, the webinar provided valuable insights into transition from student to young professional. The participants were rewarded with E-certificate as a token of appreciation -Memento was awarded to the speaker by the end of the session.

Mani Sha N is a Pre-final year student currently pursuing an Undergraduate in the domain of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, Chennai. He is currently volunteering as Chairperson of IEEE SJCE SB மாணவர் மன்றம் in St. Joseph’s College of Engineering Student Branch Chapter. He is also volunteering as a Web Designer in IEEE Madras Section under Section Student Coordination Team 2021. He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer. He is an enthusiast and a time-oriented person.
