Infosys Techzooka 2024

The IEEE St. Joseph’s College of Engineering Student Branch Chapter (SBC60101) participated in the prestigious Infosys Techzooka 2024 event held on December 5th, 2024, at the Infosys Chennai campus. This event brought together students, professionals, and innovators to share insights and showcase groundbreaking projects. The event featured an inaugural keynote by Surya MS, AVP & DC Head, Infosys, on the topic “Innovation at Every Step.” This was followed by insightful sessions, including “Process Innovation” by Deepak Kota, Global IT Director, Kellanova; “Technology Innovation” by Pradeep Roy and Murugavel, Partner Specialists, MongoDB; “Service Innovation” by Raj Sri Rengan, VP & Head – Product Development (Finacle), Infosys; and “Business Model Innovation” by Prabhu Rajagopal, Professor & Head, Innovation & IP Cell, IIT Madras. The valedictory keynote was delivered by Chandra Nandakumar and Anil, AVP & Delivery Head, Infosys. Representing the college, the Aero Squad team JASMINE J, JAISON ALEXANDER, ALEX A competed and won 1st place in the Hackathon Final Presentation” with their project titled “AI-Based Remotely Piloted System.” Coordinated with Mr. Sathish, Professor at St. Joseph’s College of Engineering,

Outcome

The event provided students with valuable networking opportunities, connecting them with professionals from leading organizations like Infosys, MongoDB, Kellanova, and IIT Madras. It also enhanced their technical, problem-solving, and presentation skills while offering exposure to the latest technological advancements. Additionally, the exposure to expert-led sessions on process, technology, and business model innovations helped participants expand their knowledge and vision for future projects.

He is also volunteering as a Web Designer in IEEE Madras Section under Section Student Coordination Team 2021. He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer. He is an enthusiast and a time-oriented person.
