INSEGNANTE – SESSION 2

The second session of INSEGNANTE, organized by IEEE Student Branch Chapter of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and IEEE Solid-state Circuits Society of SJCE SB, held on April 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM via Google Meet, was a captivating exploration into the realm of power electronics. Led by Dr. V. Chamundeeswari, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, the event focused on “Power Electronics for Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Applications.” Covering topics ranging from renewable and non-renewable energy resources to PV systems with DC-DC converters and EV applications, including NOSLC analysis and a comparison between solar-powered EVs and conventional EVs, the session provided valuable insights into the role of power electronics in shaping the future. With 25 enthusiastic participants actively engaging in discussions, the event fostered learning and exploration in emerging trends. E-certificates will be provided to all participants, recognizing their commitment to learning. Participants are encouraged to stay connected. The organizers extend their gratitude to Dr. V. Chamundeeswari and all participants for their contributions.

He is currently volunteering as Chairperson of IEEE SJCE SB மாணவர் மன்றம் in St. Joseph’s College of Engineering Student Branch Chapter. He is also volunteering as a Web Designer in IEEE Madras Section under Section Student Coordination Team 2021. He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer.
