MAXIMIZING POWER – A WEBINAR SESSION

IEEE Power Electronics Society Madras Chapter PEL35, (CH10352) and IEEE Power Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter SJCE SB (SBC60101C) Organized A Webinar Session titled “MAXIMIZING POWER” on May 4, 2024. The topic for the session was “Advanced Power Electronic Converters” presented by Dr. D. Sreenivasarao. Students and staff from the final year, pre-final year, and second year of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as other college students and staff, participated. Power electronic converters play a critical role in modern energy systems, enabling efficient conversion, control, and management of electrical energy. This report delves into advanced converter topologies, such as multilevel converters, resonant converters, and matrix converters. Approximately 40+ participants joined this event on Gmeet. The participants were rewarded with e-certificates as a token of appreciation. A memento was presented to the speaker at the conclusion of the session.

He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer.
