SEMICONGLOBAL – A WEBINAR SESSION

IEEE Power Electronics Society Madras Chapter PEL 35, (CH10352) and IEEE Power Electronics Society SJCE SB (SBC60101C) Organized A Webinar Session titled “SEMICONGLOBAL” on September 7, 2024. The topic for the session was “Navigating Semiconductor Industry Globally,” presented by Ms. Simran Khokha, Product manager at Infineon Technologies,Germany. Students and staff from the final year, pre-final year, and second year of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as other college students and staff, participated. This report describes about the global semiconductor industry faces rising demand, supply chain disruptions, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological advancements, requiring strategic innovation and regional diversification to navigate successfully. Approximately 40+ participants joined this event on Gmeet. The participants were rewarded with e-certificates as a token of appreciation. A memento was presented to the speaker at the conclusion of the session.

He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer.
