On behalf of International Women’s Day, IEEE St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, in association with IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group, conducted WOMANSERA’23 on 11-03-2024. The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Shiny Wilson, an Indian athlete, Padma Shri, and Arjuna Awardee, General manager at Food Corporation of India, Chennai. The Keynote Speaker 1 was Ms. J. Divya, Head of the Department of Social Work, Psychotherapist, and Trainer at Patrician College of Arts and Science, Chennai. Keynote Speaker 2 was Ms. Deepa Vijayaraghavan, Director at PayPal and a women entrepreneur 3q- “Shevolve”. The topic discussed by Keynote Speaker 1 was “Unveiling the Power Within: Exploring Women’s Emotional Intelligence,” and Keynote Speaker 2 discussed “How to Build Personal Branding at Early Career?” The speakers were felicitated with mementos and shawls. Staff and students from the pre-final year, second year, and first year of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering participated. The event also included a networking session, and the winners were certified with certificates and prizes. Approximately 200 students took part in this event held at the AV hall of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering.
