NGO VISIT

The IEEE Student Branch Chapter (SBC60101) of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering organized community service activities for III Year students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 20th July 2024. Students from ‘A’ Section visited DMI Home in Ottandhangal, where they provided educational support, performed minor electrical maintenance, and conducted interactive sessions with the children. ‘B’ Section students visited Annai Bharatha Madha Educational Trust in Redhills, organizing skill development workshops, electrical safety awareness sessions, and assisting in infrastructure improvements. ‘C’ Section students visited Sastha Charitable Trust in Kundrathur, conducting health and hygiene campaigns, renewable energy demonstrations, and recreational activities. These initiatives aimed to foster social responsibility, enhance practical skills, and promote teamwork among students while positively impacting the local communities.

OUTCOME: 

  1. Positive Community Impact: Improved the well-being of local communities through educational and infrastructure support.
  2. Student Growth: Enhanced students’ practical skills, social awareness, and sense of responsibility.

NGO VISIT -3

St. Joseph’s College of Engineering, (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) organized an non governmental organization  visit  on 13th August 2022 for the students of second year (B section) . They  had a visit to a old age home near by our college . Our college offered special lunch to all the inmates of the old age homes. Students are provided with transport facilities to visit the homes on activity Saturdays. They also spent their pocket money in a useful manner by offering the needy things like rice bags, groceries, toys, clothes, pillows etc. for the inmates. NGO activities bring out the hidden potentials of the young mind to service the needy people and make them a responsible citizen. They gain an exposure to the down trodden lifestyle which is the need of the hour for our country’s development.

He is currently volunteering as Chairperson of IEEE SJCE SB மாணவர் மன்றம் in St. Joseph’s College of Engineering Student Branch Chapter. He is also volunteering as a Web Designer in IEEE Madras Section under Section Student Coordination Team 2021. He has coordinated many Student Branch events Pels Jamboree, Pelzine- A Student Magazine, Sayonara, Conocithon, etc, and Section events MAS E TECH, MASCON, Know Your IEEE series, UPSKILl, etc. He completed his internship in Embedded Systems – Microcontrollers and Peripherals at Emcog Solutions at Mogappair, Chennai. He completed three mini projects in Embedded Systems and completed a hardware project in Robotics as Obstacle Avoider. He is currently doing his intern in Devtown as a Full Stack Web Developer. He is an enthusiast and a time-oriented person.
